The 'Coolper' Ensures Drinks in a Cupholder Stay Heated or Cooled

The 'Coolper' is a new smart cupholder currently in its crowdfunding phase on Kickstarter. The device plugs into either a lighter port in a car or a USB port in other use cases. This requires 36W of power, meaning it could hypothetically run off of a portable power bank, if desired.

The relatively low power draw of the Coolper does not compromise its heating and cooling abilities, though, as the device can fully heat up a coffee or other beverage in just five minutes. On the other hand, the device takes 12 minutes to fully chill a drink. The desired level of heating or cooling is also configurable for the Coolper.

To most effectively use the Coolper, the creators recommend using the thermos that comes with the device. This will create the most effective seal with a damage-resistant and 100% leak-proof mug for even the bumpiest of car rides.
