Coemo Synthesizes a Parent's Voice to Tell Stories to Kids

Coemo by Takara Tomy is an AI-powered storytelling device for kids that gives parents the power to tell stories to kids with their own voice and without having to speak the story themselves. Thanks to artificial intelligence, the system synthesizes a parent's voice and matches the inflections and intonation to infuse emotion into classic stories like Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Pigs. This is done by using the Koe Station smartphone app and registering a voice by reading a sample passage. After this point, Koe Station creates a vocal profile that can be exported to the Coemo app and device.

Multiple voices can be used to tell stories, so that kids can benefit from hearing the voices of the many people they love at bedtime.
