Clever Candy Powder Straws Offer a New Take on a Classic

The Clever Candy Powder Straws have been premiered by Nassau Candy at the 2023 Sweets & Snacks Expo in Chicago as a new take on a classic candy product.

The product will come in two options to choose from including a 2.7-ounce peg bag packed with several single straws alongside the 15-inch giant straw. The peg bag will feature cherry, tropical punch, orange and grape flavors, while the giant straws will come in blue raspberry, cherry, green apple and strawberry flavors. The product is expected to draw in curious consumers nostalgic for candy-filled straws from their childhood and newcomers alike.

Executive Vice President, National Brand Confections for Nassau Candy Andrew Reitman spoke on the Clever Candy Powder Straws saying, "Newstalgia, new takes on a candy classic, is such a popular trend in the confectionery space right now, we wanted to develop a product that brought new attention to a longtime candy favorite for a new generation. Our new Clever Candy Straws line offers all the fun customers remember from classic candy stix like Pixie Stix, but with even more intense flavors to tickle their taste buds."
