These new Albert Heijn milk products have been announced by the Dutch supermarket brand as a series of hybrid dairy and plant-based milk refreshments that aim to strike a balance between the two categories. The products come in skimmed, semi-skimmed and whole options, which were created through a collaboration between Farm Dairy in the Netherlands and PlanetDairy in Denmark. The product range features 60% to 70% traditional dairy milk with the remainder made up of plant ingredients, and will reportedly feature the same price as dairy and plant-based beverage options.
Manager of Quality & Technology at Farm Dairy Hans Zijlstra spoke on the Albert Heijn milk products saying, "Combining our traditional dairy expertise with PlanetDairy’s food-tech innovation allowed us to create a product that meets the evolving demands of modern consumers – those who want sustainability without sacrificing taste."
