The United Nations receives a fair bit of criticism but that doesn't stop, of course, UN-affiliated social innovations from coming about and having a hold on the social entrepreneurship field. The UN has a lot of foundations and programs so this Social Business top list includes a number of the smaller partnerships and collaborative initiatives as well.

For instance, there is the fashion brand called Alexandra Taylor which works with Nothing But Nets and Fashion 4 Development. The former company is a campaign that is hosted byt he United Nations Foundation in part as a way to accelerate the now infamous Millenium Development Goals.
