True Blood's final season has officially begun; the premiere episode, titled 'Jesus Gonna Be Here,' aired on June 22nd, much to the fans' excitement.

The episode begins immediately after the events of the season 6 finale, which took place at a human-vampire social at the Bellefleur residence. The gang is attacked by a drove of 'H-Vamps,' resulting in some shocking major character deaths that leave the show's loyal fans devastated.

True Blood marks an era when the vampire trend was in full reign. We'll be sad to see Sookie Stackhouse and her menagerie of magical friends -- from werewolves to shape shifters to her blood-sucking romantic partners -- bid us adieu. However, while the show does have to come to an end, the impact it left on us does not!
