13 Cultural Veils

When I see these cultural veils, I can’t help but think of oppression. Interestingly, ‘cultural veils’ definitely hold a figurative meaning alongside their more obvious counterpart. Yet I should not judge this traditional attire based solely on negative connotations. Clearly, it is a time-honored outfit that will continue to be donned by Muslim women.

As the world becomes smaller, we will see more and more of these cultural veils. I wouldn’t even be surprised if more of them ended up on the runways.
