Anniversary-Celebrating Runways Shows

Erdem New Capsule is Titled 'The Imaginary Conversation'

Erdem presented its Fall 2026 ready-to-wear collection, titled 'The Imaginary Conversation,' as a commemoration of the independent fashion house's 20th anniversary. The capsule draws upon the recurring themes, historical references, and character archetypes that have appeared throughout the brand's history.

'The Imaginary Conversation' collection revisits garments and motifs associated with figures such as Debo, Maria Callas, Madame Yvonde, and Radclyffe Hall. These sensibilities are reinterpreted through altered cuts, silhouettes, materials, and patterns. Pieces in the Fall 2026 ready-to-wear collection incorporate patchworking techniques and layering. Elements from past collections, such as a bridal dress originally shown in Erdem's first 2006 collection, have been reimagined with a voluminous gathered skirt. The overall effect is described through the lens of metamorphosis, suggesting garments that exist in a state of transition between past and present.
