The Wimbledon tennis tournament is noted for its rich history, crisp white outfits and delays due to inclement weather; its brand new retractable roof is set to make the latter phenomenon extinct.

According to Inhabitat, Wimbledon’s retractable roof over Centre Court is made out of translucent, fully-recyclable fabric so as to maximize natural light and minimize building materials used.

Wimbledon’s retractable roof is set for a May debut, and is undergoing final testing now.
