Ignacio Ruiz Gutierrez H., who is only 20 years old from Mexico, is already winning awards for his industrial pieces. The Seniora Fork Chair is made from wood and is currently only available as a single piece. It took 3rd place at the 2006 Andreu World International Design Competition.

Implications - This fork chair is an example of two pieces from everyday life combined to create a truly fascinating and familiar design piece. Consumers respond well to this tactic because it feeds off of what the consumer already knows, but is still something new and quirky. Though today's consumer does value things that are new and current, they still enjoy an element of familiarity.
