In 'The Iconics' series, photographer Olga Laris takes familiar figures from pop culture and cuts them down to size. Looking at the kid versions of these famous artists, musicians and actors, produces a curious feeling. Everyone is familiar with the version of these people that one sees in movies, the Internet and magazines.

The Iconics encourages one to think about famous figures as actual people. That is, persons who were born, had childhoods and experienced youth before blossoming into prominence and for some, unfortunately, withering in the limelight.

Still, there is no need to get too serious. It would be hard to deny that The Iconics series is amusing. The kids who portray each figure are aptly cast as well; from Andy Warhol, to Audrey Hepburn to Frida Kahlo, Olga Larison hit the nail on the head.
