I look for things that are niche but not overly obscure. For something to trend, people need to relate to it.
What do you enjoy most about Trend Hunter?
It's dynamic. Trend Hunter is able to do what it does because of how it does it: crowd sourcing to savvy, articulate people on a myriad of themes and topics.

Culture.

Coffee.
What inspires or excites you?
Serendipity, whimsy, curiosity and innovation.
Predict something awesome for 2020?
If I remember my sociology correctly, I would say that culture will grow more individualistic and less cliquey as the average person's social network becomes wider, less dense, and more diverse -- this is drawn from Dr. Wellman's work on social networks. Also, palm trees in the arctic and melted glaciers. Water world. Kevin Costner's career has a renaissance.
