James Heal, the British company that's well-known in textile industry circles for its high-tech and high-efficiency textile testing products, has launched an innovative new textile taster that is designed to be able to test the water repellency credentials of products whilst only using a miniscule percentage of the energy and water utilized by conventional devices.
The 'TruRain' textile tester carries out the standard Bundesmann test, a widely used test that aims to create artificial precipitation in order to be able to test the water repellency of products. However, where this textile tester offers an advantage over other machines that deploy the Bundesmann test is the fact that it reduces energy expenses by over 80 percent and is able to run the test for as long as a week at a time without necessitating constant water changes, thanks to the use of its water recirculation mechanism.
