Portland, Oregon-based Pacific Green Innovations has partnered with Portland State University architecture and engineering students to build a 700-square-foot house using SwissCell panels. SwissCell is a honeycomb panelized construction material mostly made of recycled paper.

SwissCell panels are marketed by CONSIDO AG, a German company. Pacific Green Innovations has the rights to manufacture the product in the United States and has launched '1,000 Homes for Haiti,' a project constructing sustainable homes for Haitians displaced by the January 2010 earthquake.
