Like a cross between Socialight and Twitter, Plazes is the latest micro blogging platform that enables you to geotag exactly where you are, or where you are heading to. Rather than texting friends you’re hoping to meet up with while out on the town, you can actually browse your contacts and see their locations.  One of the key features is having the application instantly pick up your location when you send a text.  The company states “Think of it as your personal satellite feed for your friends and readers of your blog”.
