Richard Brendan designs the Optic collection, which features three pieces of glassware. All of these are designed with a contemporary look and use a traditional glassmaking technique dating back centuries of years ago. It comes in the finishes of Clear or Smoke which is a semi-clear look.
The collection features a tumbler, a carafe, and a highball -- offering the perfect additions to hosting. The technique that is used to create the capsule dates back to 1450 and reigns from Germany. Historically, artisans would blow molten glass into a ribbed mold and remove it while it can still be molded. They blow into the second mold without ribs before twisting it to form the spiraled pattern.
