Now that the release date for 'Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens' is rapidly approaching, brands like Target are engaging fans with websites like 'Share the Force.'

On the Share the Force website, Star Wars fans are able to upload a personal Star Wars-themed photo and have it turned into a star cluster among a galaxy of countless other user-submitted photos. Just like mapping a true star in the sky, users are able to keep track of their submissions with unique coordinates. Once submitted, these user-submitted photos are archived on the LucasFilms website.

As a retailer that has played a part in shaping consumer memories by providing Star Wars memorabilia for years, this site a clever way for the brand to showcase its role in the iconic sci-fi franchise in the past and in years to come.
