Farmer-Supporting Produce Deliveries

AirAsia's OURSHOP is Making Moves to Support Local Farmers

Food and produce deliveries have been a popular service during COVID-19. Many tech-enabled companies are stepping up to support local farmers and businesses as the pandemic puts more small and independent entities at risk. Most recently, OURSHOP—"the e-commerce platform powered by AirAsia’s logistics arm Teleport"—is turning to offer help by launching a new category called "OURFRESH." Through this initiative, OURSHOP is able to make "fresh and frozen produced [available to consumers] directly from the source, with next-day delivery guaranteed for Klang Valley customers."

Grace Chin, OURSHOP Head of Marketing, shared that "We want local producers to grow beyond traditional markets, expose them to new customers, and share with customers the delight of next-day delivery. We’ll begin in the Klang Valley, expanding throughout Malaysia including East Malaysia, before venturing into the Asean region."
