The Quality Street paper sharing packs have been announced by Nestlé International Travel Retail (NITR) as a new product packaging that will reduce the brand's use of virgin plastic materials.
The packaging is crafted with recycled FSC-certified paper for the pouch and also features the candies themselves in recyclable paper instead of dual foil or cellulose. The product proudly declares its composition thanks to the 'I am paper' branding on the top-right side of the packaging to help consumers instantly recognize its recyclable profile.
NITR General Manager Stewart Dryburgh spoke on the Quality Street paper sharing packs saying, "This is big news, not just for Nestlé and Quality Street but for the confectionery category in general. It underlines NITR’s strong focus on sustainability and its commitment to reducing the use of virgin plastic, boosting recycling and supporting a circular economy. It is also a clear indication of our determination to meet the needs and demands of the increasing number of travelling consumers who are looking to purchase sustainable products."
