Nano-Insulation Paint Coating Creates Heat-Resistant Surfaces

Nansulate is a patented brand of energy-saving industrial and residential paint-on insulating coatings. Unlike thermal ceramic coatings, similar to those used on the space shuttle, Nansulate uses Hydro-NM-Oxide material to create a network of nano-sized, twisting tunnels that heat energy has to navigate through. The nano-maze slows down the transfer of heat to provide insulation.

The ability of a paint to insulate is attractive because of labor cost savings, as well as their retrofitting flexibility when compared to more traditional methods.

The coatings are available in different formulas for indoor and outdoor use. The primary differences are in whether certain chemicals are added for control of mold and so on.
