We love to give labels and names to the things around us, but with Nameless Paints by Ima Moteki we're introduced to a new way of interpreting the things around us. Ima Moteki, a design duo based out of Japan consisting of Yusuke Imai and Ayami Moteki, created the set in response to feeling as though labels inhibit the way we experience color. Explaining further, Imai states, "By not assigning names to the colors we want to expand the definition of what a color can be, and the various shades they can create by mixing them.”
Featuring nothing more than primary colors and simple "+" symbols between them to indicate what shade is within, Nameless Paints by Ima Moteki is a true artistic expression unto itself.
