John Galliano debuted a colorful Spring 2009 Ready To Wear collection during Paris Fashion Week that was rich with references to the war era of Napoleon Bonaparte.

We’re talking about quirky, giant plumed military helmets from the French and British sides, and transparent dresses that border on the indecent. Welcome to the peepshow fashion revolution.

One of the things I have noticed in the various Paris shows this season is the recurrent theme of ruffles. Almost every designer has used a bit of frill in their Spring 2009 collection, and John Galliano is not the exception.
