While The Rocky Horror Picture Show has everything from incredible music to witty dialogue, one of the most memorable parts of the film is in its Rocky Horror fashion. With the Toronto Pride Parade occurring on Sunday, it's time to pay tribute to one of the first films that supported LGBT rights.

One of the main characters from The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a Transylvanian transvestite, who is never seen without his fishnets or leather corset. Since the film's release, the fashion industry has put forth a ton of cross-dressing campaigns and collections. One product is a pair of heels made specifically for men's feet, allowing men the freedom of choice when dressing. Some of these creations also raise money for charity. For instance, one campaign features several well-known celebrities as cross-dressers, raising money for an LGBT awareness charity.

While it may have been 40 years since its release, The Rocky Horror Picture Show still continues to affect the lives of thousands of people around the globe. With its free-spirited outlook on life, acceptance of differences and, of course, fierce fashion, Rocky Horror remains one of the most socially conscious films of the 20th century.
