Successful iPhone 3G Protests - Rogers Lowers Prices in Canada
[Edit]
The iPhone 3G is showing Canada some love with lower data plans prices. Persistent Canadian consumers have convinced Rogers, the iPhone’s official and only carrier in Canada, to bring their ridiculously high iPhone 3G plans down.
The 6GB data plan will cost $30 monthly with a 3-year contract, provided you subscribe before August 31st.
How did they do that? Through thousands of signatures on relief petitions.
The press release reads, “Effective July 11, and as a limited time promotional offer for customers who activate by August 31 on a three year contract, a data-only offering of 6GB of data for $30 per month is being made available that can be added to any in-market voice plan.”
