Graffiti artist BAST has added a whole new hip hop flavor to taxidermy with his recent works displayed in Brooklynite Gallery.
Entitled “Nose Candy”, the solo exhibition of the New York artist depicts taxidermy in an image far from being conventional or cute. BAST has molded and painted plasters into bizarre-looking animals and an alien and turned them into colourful eccentric hip hop icons mounted on wood.
The artist named his wonderfully twisted imaginary pets “Alien Head”, “Cheetah Head”, “Pig Head” and “Ape Head”.
