'HelloTalk' is the name of a mobile language exchange app that's meant to give people real-world experience chatting with native speakers from all over the globe.

The peer-to-peer language-learning and messaging app pairs sets of two speakers who could benefit from communicating with a person who speaks the language they wish to learn. The app makes it possible for people to learn and practice over 100 different languages, including Dothraki, the fictional language that's spoken in Game of Thrones. Over 60% of users from around the world opt to learn English with a partner, while Korean and Japanese are the second and third most popular languages, which stem from their giant influence on Asian pop culture.

As well as offering basic messaging services, HelloTalk also features translation and voice-to-text services that can be accessed by users for an additional fee.
