'Happy Summer Kids' is Upbeat and Seasonal

'Happy Summer Kids' is a series of sculptures by Singapore-based artist sswos. The series does well to convey the levity and buoyancy that this season has for kids. Not only is summer warm and pleasant -- allowing for much outdoor activity -- it is school-free for most children. Unlike grownups, who must spend most of their weekdays indoors typing on a keyboard or reading documents, kids can go outside to play.

The sculptures portray various scenes of summer fun. One little girl sits in a birdbath next to a rather perplexed corvid. Another sculpture depicts a mischievous-looking boy aiming a slingshot in various directions. In yet another, sswos depicts a kid bouncing on a trampoline, seemingly without a care in the world. This lighthearted and indeed childish mood pervades the entire series. Stats for Jovial Juvenile Sculptures Trending: Older & Chilly
