The Global Philanthropy Forum (GPF) is an organization based in the Unites States that was founded by Jane Wales in the United States. As an offshoot of the World Affairs Council of Northern California, its goal is to be a network or community of social investors that have an international perspective.

In an article published in the Stanford Social Innovation Review's 10th anniversary issue on the evolution of social innovation, the founder, Wales, discussed about the so-called "Globalization of Giving." It's interesting how, as we've seen, the conversation of Africa, as monolith, has shifted from one of relief and aid to an emerging business leader -- at what cost?
