Art director Gem Fletcher teamed up with photographer Aaron Tilley and food stylist Iain Graham for a series of galactic food portraits dissects decadent desserts in an intriguing way. Once dissected, the photographs are edited to resemble planets, stars and unexplored space mounds.

This visually striking image series is titled 'Space Cakes and Indulgence - Food Weather.' The series includes matcha treats that are photo-shopped to resemble Saturn and its rings along with sugary cakes that melt to reveal glacial elements.

Furthermore, cracked cakes with white icing resemble rough and mountainous planet textures while a handful of caviar is cleverly shaped to take on the form of a large ocean wave. Borrowing his visual inspiration from the cosmos, art director Gem Fletcher plays with perception while experimenting with food in a fun way.
