The Eye2TV is a smart HDMI adapter, developed by Spectral Edge, that is designed to enrich the TV-viewing experience for colorblind viewers without significantly impacting what 'color normal' people see. The adapter is currently the subject of a Kickstarter campaign.

The idea is pretty straightforward, and revolves around selectively replacing certain colors frame by frame in order to allow colorblind viewers to better tell the difference between green and red -- bear in mind that the vast majority of colorblind viewers don't see in black and white as misconception holds, and actually have a hard time differentiating between pairs of colors.

What's amazing about the Eye2TV is that viewing is not impacted for people who arne't colorblind, as the frame by frame color replacement is barely perceptible to the normal eye. However, the colorblind will surely find TV-viewing enriched and more fulfilling.
