Consolidation and collaboration are two overarching themes that can be found in many of the most popular May 2015 multimedia concepts. From high-tech garments, apps and furniture pieces that do more, consumers are looking for ways to streamline their daily tasks.

Just as smartphones are no longer just phones, devices like LG's WebOS 2.0 TV are beginning to be able to boast features for connecting to smart cars and home automation systems, making them more capable and more integral to the home as a whole.

Examples that show group work being fostered include the Ferris video sharing app for stringing media clips from multiple users together, as well as the Listening Table, which serves as a note-taker during meetings. Similarly, Bevy's photo and video storage solutions aim to target the needs of a family versus that of an individual.
