The TFSS Instagram Account Hosts an Interactive Escape Room Experience

Escape room experiences have become popular as real world events and online browser games, but the Toronto Silent Film Festival created a room like no other.

In order to promote its 2016 festival, TFSS created an escape room challenge using its Instagram account. Through tags, videos, photos and multiple profiles, users are tasked with finding clues on the account in order to help them make their escape from 'The Instagram Escape Room.'

In years past, TFSS has promoted its film festival by turning its Instagram feed into historic timelines, flipbooks and choose-your-own-adventure stories. Each year, these highly interactive Instagram campaigns play a part in reviving interest in the festival and in turn, many of the silent films that have been lost and forgotten over time.
