From retail marketing to wayfinding, beacon technology has proven that it has extremely varied uses, including merit for a charitable organization's donation stations too. Oxfam is one organization that's currently testing Near Field Communication with a set of posters what allow people to tap their NFC-enabled devices to bring up a pre-typed text message, which can be sent to Oxfam in support of an initiative like Strength to Survive.

As well as having appeal for a number of organizations that are in need of support through monetary donations, this inventive setup could also be used for a variety of other applications for marketing. By blending the tactile and the intangible, tech-savvy consumers are encouraged to interact and follow a call to action on the spot.
