If a slash-proof T-shirt that protects you from knife attacks is not secure enough for you (and I must say that it really lacked style), the Defender Hoodie might be a good alternative.

It is a hoodie with 2mm of Type IIA bulletproofing that is strong enough to stop a 9mm full-metal-jacket round at a velocity of 1,090 feet-per-second.

Protection doesn’t come cheap though, the defender hoodie sells for $600. But if you live in a dangerous neighborhood, it might be a worthwhile investment.

I've always wondered when someone was going to put their heads together and realize that ppl want to protect themselves during everyday life without purchasing a bullet-proof vest! This is a wonderful idea!
