Rehab Backlashes - David Duchovny Punished for Sex Addiction (GALLERY)

While rehab and DUIs have helped the careers of many Hollywood ‘IT’ girls, actor David Duchovny is facing a bit of a backlash after his entry to rehab for sex addiction. Fashion retailers Johnston & Murphy have taken off all posters and promotional material that features David Duchovny, the Californication and X-Files star. Before his entry to rehab to seek treatment for sex addiction, posters featuring David Duchovny were heavily featured in the windows of the Johnston & Murphy Madison Avenue store in New York. Well, not anymore… Johnston & Murphy had only great things to say about him before the drama, “David embodies success and confidence, along with a great sense of style, communicating the ideal image for the Johnston & Murphy brand.” I guess sex doesn’t always sell. The funny thing is that David plays a sex-obsessed writer on Californication. Could it be that he fell into the addiction while investigating the role? I personally find this very hypocritical. Hollywood and the fashion industry always push a provocative sexual image (see below) in their products and magazines.
