Coca-Cola produces a huge variety of beverages, from the everyday comfort of a Coke, to specialty products such as Vio, the latest in fizzy milk. Yet this cornucopia of delicious drinks ends up reduced to the basics when it comes to fast-food restaurants and other Coke dispensers.
This is why Coca-Cola is introducing the Coke Freestyle Machine. Using the dispenser’s touchscreen interface, customers can choose from over 100 options, and their drinks are mixed to order from 30 different flavour cartridges.
With the Coke Freestyle Machine, customers not only get what they want, they feed the needs of market research. Using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, the dispenser collects user data and sends it to Coke’s head office. This allows the company to gather remarkably accurate data about new products, and ultimately to serve us better.
With more of what you want, where you want it, this is an innovation with a hip modern edge and a promising future.
