 Fashion Illustrator Turns to Edu-Otters in 'Mr. Loutre' Who can resist the cuteness of Otters? Marguerite Sauvage has toiled in fashion illustration for years, seeing her work printed in some of the great fashion titles of our time. But in the end, she may be known for her work with otters. Sauvage has developed Mr. Loutre (Otter) for France Television. Mr. Loutre is a cultural professor and will explain how he was involved with discovering electricity or how he helped Marco Polo to children 4-10 years old. The episodes run 90 seconds without Mr. Otter saying a word. He leaves that to his assistant Lascarounet and a voice over. You read it here first: America is the next stop for the world domination of otters.  So “yes” for last few weeks it’s official, Mr. Otter will be broadcasted by France 3 in 2009! So right now I do the designs for the costumes, backgrounds and all the objects that our beloved otters will screened all 52 episodes of 1 min 30, edutainment program... and obviously I keep doing illustration, there are things you can’t abandoned. Spurred by Pierre Coré, Mr Otter was given life with a pilot project which has received good feedback in Annecy in 2007 and the Forum cartoon in 2008...
