AIDS 'Explore But Protect Yourself' Wins Bronze at Cannes[Edit]

These two AIDS prevention ads won a bronze medal at the Cannes International Ad Festival. The ads are very explicit with tongues and male privates foremost in the ads. Some may term this shockvertising, others art, but however you view the ads, they are sure to hold your attention for that split second longer than normal to deliver the important message. Many ad critics are questioning the obvious hetero slant of the ads, which may have kept them from getting the gold.  Bronze-medal winners at this year's Cannes International Advertising Festival, the French ads feature a man and a woman, each in a giant condom, floating through landscapes of the opposite gender's genitalia. The guy looks like he's just been shot out of a follicle into "outer space" -- a dark, nebulous world of boobs, mouths and legless women's crotches (which look disturbingly like overripe apricots).
