The ‘BookScout’ App by Random House for Facebook is Great
Jennifer Gosnell — June 21, 2013 — Social Good
The ‘BookScout’ app optimized for Facebook by Random House is a genius way to get personalized book recommendations in an immediate fashion. “BookScout will use your Book and General Interest “Likes” to scout out a hand-picked selection of book recommendations just for you. When you “Like” or “Add” a book, the book is displayed on your Newsfeed,” the BookScout page reads.
As Facebook is considered to be one of the most major social networking sites that would have access to a lot of your personal information, why not use their knowledge to find yourself some better reads? As most books, thanks to Kindle and iBooks, are just a click away, this BookScout app by Random House is a great way to match digital for digital. It can’t replace the experience of wandering through a bookstore, but if you’re looking for something specific to check out while you’re there, it’s worth a go.
