As part of a new battery advertisement print campaign from Duracell, the brand is boasting the longevity it brings to the life of a child's toy. This is done by depicting beloved childhood icons like Hello Kitty, wind-up robots and cymbal-banging monkey toys as skeleton figures.
In the past, there have been several artists who have imagined what lies under the skin of these infamous characters, capturing consumer fascination with strange anatomical models that vary drastically from the familiar human one.
Although the battery advertisements could have easily taken a very dark twist, the Duracell posters are still quite lighthearted, especially since these nostalgic toys are at the forefront of the brand's print marketing efforts.
