Lavigne will be the character in the new manga called “Make5wishes”. This is the collaboration between Del Rey Manga and Lavigne to publish the first original-English language manga in US. The story of “Make 5 wishes” is about an unpopular girl named Hana who spends a lot of time on the internet. She finds a website called Make5wishes.com. After she makes wishes, the wishes lead her to a demon. Hana meets Lavinge who helps her conquer her own personal demon. “Make5wishes” will be published the first volume on April 10, 2007 before Lavigne’s new album which will be released on April 17, 2007. | Whew... I was getting worried for a second. Luckily, Manga, like Champagne is only named so because it comes from a specific region of the world. Manga only comes from Japan, with Japanese authors and artists. Anything else should be referred to as Manga-style comics. Just like sparkling white wine is only champagne when it comes from the Champagne region of France. |
