While art is typically a form of self-expression, often governments have artists represent certain issues and political ideologies through artistic creations. Implications - American politics are a great communal bonding tool because its impact is felt by all classes of citizenry in the United States. As such, many artists utilize American politics as a theme for their work because they know it will reach widespread audiences. Corporations can employ a similar tactic of politically themed marketing to garner attention from consumers.
