Marvel Comics has teamed up with Comedy Central TV personality Stephen Colbert for a special edition called The Amazing Spider-Man #573.
Colbert, who a few months back announced his (mock) candidacy for the presidency, will be pairing up with Marvel's iconic character Spider-Man as Colbert resumes his role as a USA presidential candidate in the make-believe Marvel Universe.
The sale of the first issues of The Amazing Spiderman #573 is scheduled for 10/15.
Implications - Businesses that can transform a serious or important subject matter into one that is humorous and lighthearted will see favorable results in today's industry. Businesses that employ this tactic will portray themselves as a highly approachable organization, a quality to which many of today's consumers will appreciate.
