The top March 2016 toys reveal some of the most popular products to look out for in the year ahead. Within these emerging toys, there are a few key themes that parents and manufacturers will want to pay attention to in order to ensure success when toys are presented to kids.

After the excitement of Christmas, the next big toy event to look forward to is the annual New York Toy Fair. Some of the most inspiring toys to be revealed at this year's exhibition included smart dollhouses, app-connected go-karts and even flavored blowing bubbles that can be eaten.

Along with many new toys on display at the fair, a number of old favorites have been reintroduced with new forms. For instance, Simon Air can now be played in a hands-free format and Cabbage Patch Kid dolls now feature expressive LED eyes. Hasbro's Monopoly, Barbie and the ThingMaker from Mattel also received modern upgrades.
