From Playful Slotted Carpetscapes to Minimalist Wooden Models

With safety and convenience a main concern among parents, it can sometimes seem like there is a lack of kids play activities and structures that meet all of the requirements.

In terms of safety, one central factor is the concern around small parts that could break off and be swallowed or lost. Toys that also fall in line with the minimalist design movement such as the series of colorful inflatable toys from Fatra do well in this case.

In addition to safety and convenience, another main concern of parents is the cleanliness and potential for the spreading of germs, making activities and toys that are easily disinfected particularly interesting. Minimalist play structures with few parts can be easily cleaned, a concern for play areas in public spaces in particular.
