There has been an explosion in the amount of artistic portraits surfing the TrendHunter portfolios recently. Here is an incredible gallery of the best artistic portraits on the site for you to enjoy.

The different styles, media, materials, and subject matter make it all the more exciting to look at these portraits. Although I am a big fan of photography, I do think some of my favorite ones are painted.

I particular like the Blogger Portraits by the young California-based painter Danny Roberts, the fantastic Casual Photo Paintings by Amanda Basl and the amazing Molly Brill Dripping Portraits created with watercolors.

There are so many good ones in this collection! I'm going to go with Work Space Portraits, Blogger Portraits (and, by extension, Custom Avatar Paintings) and Perversely Pretty Photography.
