I have fallen in love with New York based artist, Amanda Basl’s beautiful oil paintings. I love the way her women are portrayed in a contemporary and yet classical way - utterly beautiful.

Seen from a feminine perspective, Amanda Besl reveals insights into the adolescent world, often capturing the secrets and beauty of the every day life.

The artist herself is represented by Lyons Wier Ortt Contemporary in New York City and she has had her work exhibited internationally.

The contemporary art critic and writer Saul Ostrow has compared Amanda's paintings to James Joyce's novels. The artist resides in Buffalo, New York. (superpaintgirl)

I know beauty is subjective and is in the eyes of the beholder, but the last image in the gallery stretches the term beauty, lol.
