Anatomical fantasy has been featured by myself before, such as the pac man skull, but there is something different about the style of Micheal Paulus which really appeals to me.
Pickachu, Power Puff Girl, Charlie Brown and Betty Boo have all had the Paulus treatment and I love the rustic feel of the illustrations which gives them a authentic medical diagram vibe from days gone by. This is in contrast to other artists, such as Jason Freeny, whose anatomy of a balloon dog and gummi bear have a very much modern art feel.
There are 22 in Paulus’s series and

each piece is 7.5″ high by 10″ wide, mixed media on high-grade plywood panel and covered with a thick, glossy, durable epoxy coating to give an enameled appearance and ready to hang.
