Digital artist Stanley Lau designed these incredible magazine covers, which feature comic book heroines and villains. The heroic babes are dressed in uniquely designed outfits and pose in their natural settings. In addition to their modified outfits, their bodies got a serious makeover too. With curves and cleavage, these cartoon chicks are ready for their calendar shoots.
Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, Jun the Swan and more are all part of this fun collection of digital art illustrations. Artist Stanley Lau also posts videos where he demonstrates his illustration and digital art process. There’s clearly a method to it because his cartoon cover girls look absolutely stunning.
This series is an excellent concept because it reminds us of why we loved these characters so much. When Saturday morning cartoons were all about which hero girl we wanted to be when we grew up, we can now remember their strength and intelligence in a new way.
