What Canlove does is find creative ways to recycle graffiti spray cans after they're out of paint and otherwise considered useless to artists. Instead of just throwing out the cans, which is hurtful to the environment since they are aerosol, the company has come up with a genius art project.
The project uses every piece of the cans to create “bouquets” of spray cans. Actual spray paint is also used to add color and give the pieces their vibrant appeal. Flowers such as roses and tulips make up most of the bouquets. It’s interesting to re-think the shapes and dimensions of these otherwise industrial materials in a way that makes them art to the very end.
This project proves that not only does the paint itself contribute to art throughout the spray can’s lifespan, but the container itself can be useful as well.
